creative sessions

Creative sessions take place in your home and/or a nearby location that you and your family enjoy visiting, and last between one and a half to two and a half hours. Although newborn sessions can take a bit longer, allowing extra time for feeding and changing.

As a custom photographer I only take one booking a day so that I can give you my undivided attention. I'll call you in the morning to confirm everything's still on for the day and if you are running a bit late that's fine . . . we can put the session back a bit or reschedule to the afternoon.

We'll spend the first 20 minutes or so having a chat over a cuppa, and then I'll have a good look around your home for the best sources of natural light, which are often upstairs, but could be a conservatory or an airy sitting room. Please don't worry about tidying up too much beforehand. My youngest son has a 'floordrobe' so I know only too well what family life is like!

Sessions are scheduled typically around 10.30 in the mornings or 1.30 in the afternoons, although mornings are usually best for the light during the winter and late autumn. Everything is very relaxed as I like to capture you and your family interacting with each other naturally rather than set up posed shots.
